Meet Na-Tasha Rise

Na-Tasha Rise is a native of Brooklyn, New York—born of concrete resilience, raised in the rhythm of survival, and shaped by the poetry of a city that taught her how to stand tall even when the world felt unsteady beneath her feet. A woman of many hats, she has lived a life layered with purpose: educator, mentor, storyteller, and advocate to those finding their way through darkness into light.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Na-Tasha carries a heart expansive enough to hold generations—her own and those entrusted to her. Known as a mother to many of the youth she educates, she offers them more than instruction; she offers refuge, guidance, and the steady assurance that they are seen, valued, and capable of rising beyond their circumstances. To the young, she is not simply a teacher—she is a safe place, a compass, a living testimony that broken beginnings do not disqualify anyone from beautiful futures.

Her writing rises from the sacred intersections of pain and deliverance, memory and miracle. With a voice steeped in spiritual depth and poetic cadence, Na-Tasha transforms her lived experiences into narratives that breathe healing, courage, and truth. Her work is a tapestry of testimony—woven with scripture, sensory detail, and the quiet thunder of a woman who has survived herself and found God waiting on the other side.

Influenced by the legacy of the prophetic power of writers like Maya Angelou and Langston Hughes, Na-Tasha writes with a lyrical boldness that honors both her heritage and her healing. Every page she pens carries the echo of her journey: the girl who endured, the woman who rose, and the warrior who now stands unashamed in her calling.

She currently resides in Savannah, Georgia, where she shares life with her beloved husband. From this place of restoration and rootedness, Na-Tasha continues to pour out her heart through her ministry, mentorship, and writing—inviting others to break cycles, reclaim their identity, and walk into their new.
