I Am Who God Called Me To Be…

I Am Who God Called Me To Be…

“I AM NOT WHO I WAS. I AM WHO GOD CALLED ME TO BE.”
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you before you were born, I set you apart.”
— Jeremiah 1:5

Before there was a wound, there was a word.
Before there was rejection, there was a calling.
Before shame tried to rename you, God had already spoken your identity.

The chains may tell the story of where you have been, but they do not have the authority to
tell you who you are.

There was a version of you who learned how to survive in places God never intended you to
stay. You carried names that were never yours. Rejected. Ashamed. Addicted. Broken.
Suicidal. Depressed. Unworthy.

But God says, “I knew you before any of that knew your name.”

Jeremiah 1:5 reminds us that our identity did not begin with our mistakes. It began in the
mind of God. Before the world had an opportunity to label you, Heaven had already called
you, chosen you, and set you apart.

So, when the chains break, don’t go searching for the one you used to be. They no longer
exist, because you are a new creation saved by grace.

Rise and meet the one God knew before the breaking ever began.

This is your resurrection moment.
The grave could not keep you.
The chains could not name you.
The shame could not own you.
And your past does not get the final word.

You are walking out carrying evidence that God can redeem what darkness tried to destroy.
And perhaps that is the revelation behind The Harlot That Broke Free: freedom isn’t merely
escaping what held you—it is finally becoming who God said you were before anything ever
tried to convince you otherwise.

Today, declare:
I am not my shame.
I am not my mistakes.
I am not what happened to me.
I am not who they called me.
I am not who I was.
I AM WHO GOD CALLED ME TO BE.

And this time, I’m answering to my God-given name
